CLI’s Aren’t As Easy As You Might Think

Abstract

It’s built in the muscle memory – you do the same commands over and over each day as part of your job. Apart from the inevitable ‘docker composer’ (every. time.), actually _designing_ a command line tool is probably quite simple, right? It depends. But mostly, no, it’s not easy, because we’ve had to make one. And making CLIs for thousands of other developers to use every day takes a lot of thought in it’s design. In this session, we’re going to look at the art of the CLI.
